We are the Zelienople Fire Dept.

Zelienople Fire Dept is 100% volunteer. Our primary coverage area is the Borough of Zelienople in Zelienople Pa. In addition to our own area, we also provide mutual aid to our neighboring communities. Operations are conducted from 1 station located on West Beaver St. The station houses 2 engines, 1 ladder, 1 rescue, and 1 squad. In addition, we also operate a command vehicle.

We pride ourselves on the high levels of training that our members maintain. Of our 42 members, we have 18 certified at the Firefighter I level, 6 certified at the Firefighter II level, All members are trained at the Operations level for Haz-Mat , 4 Paramedics, 10 Emergency Medical Technicians, 2 CPR Instructors, 1 EMS Instructor, 1 Fire Officer I, 1 PA State Fire Academy Non-Supression Instructor, and many other certifications such as Basic Vehicle Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, Farm Emergencies, Confined Space Rescue, and Rapid Intervention Team.

Zelienople Fire Dept takes pride in our Junior Firefighter program. They are called the Junior Brigade and can have as many as 12 members at a time. This program has allowed us to groom upcoming firefighters and medical responders. The members of this division can be between the ages of 14 and 18 years old.

The Auxillary. Currently consisting of 8 members, they have been a great asset. These members provide us with food and beverage at large scale incidents and also provide the same service for in house events such as meetings and training. The Auxillary also is in charge of booking rentals of our meeting room. The meeting room is available for meetings, birthday parties, etc. Please see the "Forms" page for the rental request form and additional information.

Special Fire Police are also a part of the Zelienople Fire Dept. These responders assist the police and fire department when traffic is involved. They serve during times of emergencies and also during community events such as parades. They operate 2 former police cars that have been re-decaled to reflect the organiation name.

Zelienople Fire Department is always in search of new members. Please feel free to stop by any Tuesday night between 7pm and 9pm if you are interested in helping serve your community. We provide the training, you provide the desire. You can download the membership application from our Forms page.
